When people think about fruit, they usually think about something sweet and delicious to eat. However, there are many other types of fruit which are not sweet at all and are actually quite sour in taste. These include tamarinds, lemons, limes and oranges. This group is known as citrus fruits because they come from citrus trees which grow in warm climates around the world. The fleshy part of the mango is yellowish-green in color with black spots present on it due to presence of anthocyanin pigments during ripening process; this fleshy part is sweet and juicy in taste, but sour when not fully ripe due to presence of malic acid inside the fruit (when fully ripe, malic acid content decreases significantly).
